Training Resources
A wide variety of training resources are available to support the effective use of technology at the University. Training for key applications such as SOLAR and Powerpoint are available as well as support that you may need for media equipment in classrooms, and the effective use of your phones. This training is provided in a variety of formats, but linked by the single goal of helping you make the best use of technology for your educational and administrative needs.
Training Information
Training workshops are available to all University employees and are offered on an array of topics and skill levels. Attendees have an opportunity to enhance their skill levels, to improve job performance and reduce skill gaps. There is no charge to employees to attend these courses, but you should obtain authorization from your supervisor prior to enrollment.
Desktop Applications & E-learning Training
Classes teach the effective use and best practices for using software. Classes range from basics to advanced skill levels. An example of class offerings include Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, ATI accessibility, and a variety of e-learning and teaching tools such as Web CT, Clicker, and Elluminate.

SOLAR Training
SOLAR is the gateway to a number of vital functions for faculty, students, and staff. Registering for a class, recording student grades, and viewing financial reports are just a few key functions of the SOLAR application. Training is available in a variety of formats and you can visit the SOLAR Support website to find the training resource that best suits your needs or call the SOLAR Support phone number at (818) 677-1000.

Media Services Training
