New Student Email is Here!
Cal State Northridge launched a new student email system powered by Google to replace the old Webmail system. Your new Gmail account will provides you with an updated "@my.csun.edu" email address.
Locating Your CSUN Email Address
Students who do not know their CSUN email address can locate it by following these steps:
- Log in to the myNorthridge Portal.
- Locate the "My Path to Graduation" pagelet.
- Click on the Student Center (SOLAR) link.
- Your Campus Email Address is listed under "Personal Information."
Changing Your CSUN Password
Prior to accessing your new Gmail account, you are required to change your CSUN password. For complete instructions, please visit: http://www.csun.edu/it/services/studentemail.html#access. New Web Folder Location
As part of CSUN’s ongoing web enhancement project, all University web content was migrated to a new "webdrive" in late May. To access your content on the new "webdrive," follow the instructions for Mapping the Web Drive. Old content will be maintained on the "udrive" under "obsolete_public_html_archive." For most users, the new "webdrive" has been mapped automatically. If you do not see your content on the new environment, you will have to map this new location manually. If you need further assistance, please contact
the IT Help Center.
Wireless Enhancement
As a continuation of the CSU initiative to refresh campus networks, IT has been working this summer to enhance the Cal State Northridge wireless network by replacing older equipment and installing new wireless equipment inside most campus buildings.
